Safari 5 の機能拡張のインストール [Mac]
先日、リリースされた Apple 純正の Web ブラウザ、Safari 5.0 では Firefox のアドオンや、Google Chrome の拡張機能のように、便利な機能を追加する「機能拡張 (Safari extensions)」が利用できるようになっています。
アイコンは、右図のようなもの、拡張子は「.safariextz」です。
既にいくつかの機能拡張がリリースされており、いつもお世話になっている soundscape out さんがこちらのページで紹介していらっしゃいますが、デフォルトの状態では機能拡張を利用することはできません。
機能拡張を利用するためには、Safari の環境設定の「詳細」で「メニューバーに"開発"メニューを表示」のオプションにチェックを入れると表示される
メニューバーの「開発」メニューから「機能拡張を有効にする」を選択する必要があります。
機能拡張を有効にした後は、ダウンロードした機能拡張をダブルクリックでインストールできるようになり、
Safari の環境設定にも「機能拡張」パネルが追加され、ここで機能拡張の有効／無効の切替、インストールした機能拡張の管理をおこなうことができます。
ちなみに機能拡張は、
~/Library/Safari/Extensions
にインストールされます。
「機能拡張 (Safari extensions)」は正式にサポートされているものではないので、インストールにより Safari の動作が不安定になる可能性もあります。試用は自己責任でお願いします。
